Dangerous Geography

Work in progress 2021-2023.

A film project that evolved through Art Inside Out's three month residency Other Choreographies, New Spaces in Halland, Sweden. On labyrinths and jelly-fish, failed futures and past beginnings, sunken ships and surfacing grief, trade routes and mapping emotions.

 He watches the audience that is seated around him. The audience mirror his gaze. But now they turn their eyes away from him, as the first scene slowly fades in. They listen to his voice as he begins his live- voice-over-narration. They watch the ocean, their eyes track the slow movement of the waves as they break the rocky edge of the headland of Skallanäs. He tells them that this is the place where worlds begin, and that is the site of failed futures. He attempts to build a language with stones.
